Rainbow Printers was originally founded in 1979 as a family business by the late
John Scarpelli. Sam and Pina Augruso joined John in 1992. When John passed
away in 1999, Sam and Pina were determined to continue John's vision of a
locally owned and operated printing company. For more than 23 years
Rainbow Printers strived to maintain the original vision John was dedicated to.
Lehto Printers came into being in 1937 when George Lehto, Sr., having recently
emigrated from Finland, set-up shop in the garage outside the family home.
The garage soon proved to be too small for the growing business and a move
was made to a location on Lincoln Street. The keys to the "shop" were later
passed on to George Lehto, Jr., Allan's father, who ran things for 43 years before
retiring. In 1989 Lehto Printers was passed on to the third generation when
Allan Lehto took over the reigns of the company.
As time passes, changes are bound to take place and in 2002 a merger
between Rainbow Printers and Lehto Printers took place.
With each company bringing its own niche in the marketplace to the merger,
the new company has proven to be a successful venture.
